- What is a vehicle service & what type of service does my vehicle need ?
- A service is a routine check carried out by a garage. Our mechanic’s will take a look at your vehicles condition and check parts for wear and tear and damage. The types of checks included in a service will vary depending on the type of service you have carried out. This all depends on how old your car is, how many miles it has done, its model, its condition and which type of service is needed.
MANUFACTURER SERVICE
You will need this type of service if your vehicle is still under warranty. The checks carried out will be tailored to your vehicles make, model, age and mileage. This service is ideal for drivers looking to stay with their manufacturers guidance in order to maintain their vehicles performance and resale value. Since 2002, drivers have not been legally required to return their vehicle to its original dealership to get it serviced under warranty. We are here to ensure that our customers receive an equivalent service but also save you money on dealership prices.Book in for a manufacturer service with us, for a service that is specific to your vehicle and that will not invalidate your warranty with your dealership.
INTERIM / LUBE SERVICE
A full list of checks ranging from wiper blades to your engine. This will include an oil change.
FULL SERVICE
Includes everything covered by an interim / lube service, plus extras like a new air and fuel filter
No matter what your vehicle type, it is recommended that you service your vehicle every 12,000 miles (or 12 months if sooner). However, we recommend that high mileage vehicles or vehicles that have frequent short stop and start journeys, have an interim / lube service every 6000 miles / 6 months. This erratic style of driving wears down tyres and brakes far more quickly than journeys of regular and longer duration, leading to increased wear and tear, potential hazards and increased probability of breakdown.
